Learning to use my new Canon 20D. A simple picture taken with an 18-55mm lens. Probably not the right lens to use for this type of picture, but all I have right now. Used 65 watt flood lights from the sides through a homemade light box. Cropped, adjusted light and contrast. Slightly saturated the sepia tone and sharpened. Cloned out some specks. Not an overly exciting picture but a good exercise in learning.

I like the reflection of the egg beater

I'm not sure how you did it, but I really like the old-fashioned "finish" you put on this photo.

Very nice picture. I like the lighting and the true chrome look along with the reflection. Great focus.

Great concept. Good subject. I love the reflection. Lighting looks a little bit flat though... and I'm wondering if a more extreme diagonal might work a little bit better?

Seems slightly flat, but the subject is good, I like the reflection and it meets the challenge very well! 7

I wish like hell the "horizon line" weren't parallel to and and tangent to the lowermost of the wires on the rearmost whisk (if that makes sense?). An overall sense of muddiness detracts a bit, even recofnizing the desire to "antique" this through sepia tonalities. One thing I notice is that the beater shows to best advantage in its reflection, not its actuality; a pity this isn't reversed...

This shot has strong appeal.

Good subject choice, and I like the "Old Fashioned" feel created by the shot. I think the composition could have been more interesting with a different angle, or maybe less centered. Overall good work. 7.

I like the reflection. A black backdrop may have helped it "pop".

I like the reflection, but the picture looks a bit over-shaprened to me. 4.

I like the reflection and the color choice, a bit too grainy though

The overall tone of the photo appeals to me. It is like sepia almost. The line where the background joins the table doesn't feel right to me. It needs to be further up or down.r
