 Yes, these are real flowers. Fuchsia's to be exact. I've admired them for years after first seeing them in Scotland so in 2003 I jumped at the chance to actually have some of my own.

Anyway, I was taking pictures of them and when I uploaded the pics I saw that my daughter had looked through the flowers at just the perfect moment. This shot has since become one of my favorites. It's also a favorite of friends, family and strangers who happen across it so I figured I'd share it here too.

Very beautiful portrait. I really like the soft focus and I am glad that you have managed to get catchlights in the model's eyes. Well done shot here.
