My father was in college when the war broke out. He enlisted in the Air Force and he flew as a captain of B24 bombers in European campaign. He flew 35 missions based in Great Britain. The book actually has a picture of the bombers that he flew. He never talked very much about the war. I wish I had asked more questions.
