The grainy effect makes it look really gritty and urban. The tone also matches it perfectly. My choice for number one! |

why the grain? the sepia tone is enough... maybe up the contrast a little too. |

I like the shadows of the fence on this guy's trousers and jacket. The photo is a little too grainy for me though, but it has charachter. |

I think it must be me, but I don't get a feeling of despair from this. It's probably due to the gentleman being upright - standing tall. The grain effect is appropriate for this image, but the sepia tone doesn't feel quite right. I think it's because sepia is usually the colour of old photos, but this has very modern elements in it:- the buildings, wide empty road and the shopping trolly. |

I like the image, and grain is a good idea, though I find that this looks like you added grain rather than let grain appear?if that makes any sense. |
