 A candid shot from the train at a Seattle transit hub.

Although we encountered relatively few police officers during our trip to the city, we observed a healthy presence of transit ambassadors (background) and security officers keeping the peace and assisting individuals in safely navigating the system. Watching these officers interacting with the public and with each other on this cold, rainy afternoon, I appreciated how important (and probably thankless) a role they fulfill.
