 Thank you for the blue ribbon!

I took this picture in Munich's city center. There's a spot right in the old town called the "Eisbach Wave," which is famous among surfers. There's something to see there every day, but I was lucky: a real expert was out there when I wanted to take photos.
It's not entirely safe; earlier this year, there was a tragic accident in which a young woman lost her life. After months of investigation, the Eisbach Wave was reopened, and there are just as many surfing enthusiasts there as before.

Congrats Barbara, awesome surfing photo! Before you added your notes, I was wondering how you managed to get so close with a not very long 75mm lens. Now I understand! I know this place in Munich, was there a few years ago and have a few photos from it, too. Truly unique place and yes, feels very dangerous.

I looked up that venue, what an awesome place for surfers to have some adventures.
