 Juvenile male hummingbirds are not as shy as the adults. This one smiled for the camera! Taken with flash and a macro lens. I wanted to try something a little different than the usual hummingbird POV.

this is absolutely incredible .. literally took my breath away ..
to capture the bird in flight coming directly to you .. in perfect focus no less .. is a marvel .. but then the bokeh .. such a wonderful accompaniment to your gorgeous bird ..

I'd be surprised if this isn't on the front page. Just by the very nature of these birds: elusive, small, fast, and I don't belive I've EVER seen a photo of one like this! This only thing missing is the wingtips. Still an easy 9.
