 Great story here. Had my drone up for about 30 minutes before I was kicked out by a Watershed Ranger. Drone are apparently illegal over the town's drinking water. :)

All in the same spot. In the past I tried once or twice to move sideways along a coast or up and down on a tall building. Lightroom stitching seemed to then get confused and it made a poor result. Maybe other programs support this type of projection, but I never looked into it.

Thanks all.

As to the 44 photos, it is 3 rows x ~15 images in portrait orientation. I really dislike the wide angle distortion/lean off center from the drone so I am in the habit of overlapping the photos a lot to give the stitching algorithm more data from the center of the frame to work with. Takes a long time to merge!

44 photos! That beats my entry by a factor of 2+ :). Lovely image, so quiet and peaceful. Diametrically opposite of my over-the-water drone panorama :)

Awesome perspective. The panorama really enhances the impact, too. If only that construction equipment and disrupted earthworks in the foreground weren't so distracting... If it were me, and if I has access to this site again, I'd probably try coming back when the construction was complete--or maybe when there's some lovely autumn foliage to warm the foggy horizon line...
