DPC for me isn't always about going out and shooting pictures. Many times the challenges are thought provoking and introspective. The hostages were the first thing that came into my mind when I saw the theme as I think and hear about them and the war on the news everyday. The reality is horrific regardless of one's ideology. I do not understand the inhumanity of a minority of individuals that have such a profound influence on a caring society. There is no justification except for pure maniacal evil. I hope my children and grandchildren will understand the good in the world and not learn to be afraid.
