I didn't want to do an exact copy, so went for a diagonal theme in portraite, but used the same style and viewpoint as Multiplicity Destroys Mundanity by Paul Kilkenny.

Thanks for the inspiration Paul, hope I've done your blue ribbon justice ;-)

Superb clarity and DOF here. Very satisfying shot indeed - as is the design of this excellent building - tactile.

Not sure what this is but it is really great. Nice job on the DOF, color and the angle. Just made it to my favorite list. Great job...

Keith: I had put my money on this one because dare I say, it surpasses the original. Congratulations on your 8th finish. This effort has impressed many of us.

Returning for comments:
A fantastic presentation with beauty matching that of the original. Bumping up. Bumped again. This image is certainly the most superior. Last Bump to 10

very very strong image. I find no flaws in it aside from wondering if it might need just a hair more agressive tonal range

I like this shot even better than the original winner. I like the lighting a lot, the angle is great, with a good sense of depth to the circles...and even the sky is nice. Great job!

Nice take on the original and you were lucky in that you got a much better sky in your shot. Love the clouds and your angle of the shot.

I like your choice of subject to pay tribute to. Your sky is pleasing. The orientation of the photo feels odd to me, somehow unbalanced, losing the original's sense of landscape and making this seem more monumental.

dang, I never knew how this fitted into the 'mundane' challenge, in the first place - at least tis certainly fits here :-) I still find it an uncomfortable shape, compositionally, though this is a good approach. I personally think it needs to be set against the genuine mundanity of te Brum skyline to stand the best chance of working as a shot, but never got a chance in the week i spent there last August. Good work here though.

I keep flipping back and forth between this and the original- can't decide which I like more!

I think you've improved on the original! And I still don't know what this thing is; hope you can give us a view of the entire structure after the challenge.
