 actually edited this for the connection challenge then realized i took the photo the day before the challenge was announced .. :(

the rainbow lorikeets occasionally come to my nephews place and if you approach them very slowly they won't be spooked and fly away ...

i did a bit of research and found out that they often mate for life .. these two might have been a pair ..

it would be impossible to tell the difference between the male and female by just looking at them .. "surgical sexing by a vet or DNA analysis of a feather is used to determine the sex of an individual."
