Thanks for all the great feedback. I will go back to this tree with a wider angle lens & better weather and have another go, and post the result here.

I like this one a lot, but I think the crop might be too severe, especially at the top. And maybe at the right too.

I immediately thought, 'what are the conditions of this area that made these trees grow this way? Cool compositon and use of DOF. I WOULD like to see both of the trees in entirety though. Maybe back up 5 or 10 feet?

That is a very neat tree. I like the shape and textures on it. Might I suggest a different framing/cropping of the image to either include the rear tree as a full element in the picture or eliminate it entirely to draw focus to the front tree? As it is now, my attention is torn between the two elements like I am looking at two different pictures.

Cool photo, I am just wondering if there was another way yo frame the photo to give it greater impact.

Very nice subject. Would have been even better if submitted at max width of 640 pixels.

I like... maybe a little more contrast to eliminate the fioggy appearance on the second tree...or the reverse to make the tree in the foreground more pronounced

I really like this photograph. Like the color, like the softer focus. Great title. I think these trees grow this way wind blown for decades. I just don't see wind blowing at the time this photograph taken. Otherwise, great photograph!

Great choice for the difficult challenge - you were lucky to find those trees! Now, the weather wasn't great, I could see, and that spoils the photo a bit for me. 8.

This image has so much potential - but there are a few issues - firstly its slightly overexposed at the top - I find this really distracting. Secondly - you should have made it larger - its hard to see the details and properly evaluate. I would definately go back and reshoot here if I were you, it's a terrific scene.

I would like to see just a bit more vibrancy in the colors here.
