While visiting a friend I noticed this doll (that her daughter had dropped there) on the brick steps out back. This will probably not be a very popular shot as it turned out rather more bizarre and spooky than I thought it would when I shot it.

RAW Adjustments: changes to tone comp. and white balance. Then in Paint Shop Pro it was cropped, curves and hue/sat adjustments applied, then run through Neat Image, then reduced in size and sharpened.

Shot with the 50mm F/1.8 lens.

great color and sharpness! subject is kinda creepy. I also wish the doll's foot was in frame.

Maybe "once" beloved. I wonder if everyone turned their head to the left like me. Like the angled composition with the great colered brike background. Good luck with this broken doll.

I don't know about that title, but the doll is sure broken. Like the color of the stones.

That's extremely creepy. I'm not sure about the crop - why cut off the right leg like that?

Dolls generally creep me out and this one is no exception. Good shot, nice textures and colors, only thing bothering me is the cropping out of her foot

Composition: 7, not liking the cropping off of the leg. haven't you hurt this thing enough?? ;-)
Technical: 8, Good light and colors
Appeal: 7
Challenge: 7
Overall Calculated Average Score: 7, To go with the title, it would be better to have a child holding it. As it is, it looks like the child discarded it, in which case you could've called it "Unbeloved" ;-)

Almost really great! I would have preferred a lower angle. Also, the fact that just a tiny part of the doll (foot) is cropped seems unintentional.
