I was in my yard shooting aurora when I saw how the light "broke" though on the porch and grass from within my appartment. Liked the pattern and shot it. Hope people like a little abstract feeling.

Shot with my 50mm f/1.8 II, camera mounted on my new tripod.

great dark mood - good feel for the b&w composition - bumping this one up a point.

I think you might have a tough time with people understanding that it is the light breaking through, but this is a nice photo. The color tones are probably the most notable. Compostionally, I'm not sure the chair is helping you.

I have been thinking of this photograph all day. Strange how some images stick. I think it was because I have a hard time knowing what the picture is about. Looks like light from a window striking snow and yard with some sort of brickwork. It also is the abstract quality and composition that is so well executed that demands I take a moment and think. I like this very much.

The shot seems a bit dark for me and the title is stretched to meet the challenge. All in all it is a nice photo but it doesn't grab me. Good luck.

It's too dark. I'm not seeing the window either - what am I missing? I don't mind if you PM me, by the way.
