 Well my profile could do with another cat on it. Fifteen odd years after my photo of Pickles (may he rest in peace) here is Mandorla being whipped into action!

This contest entry is a quick one, with my attention focused on the other open challenges that I'm more naturally drawn to. However I wanted to submit something and our animals seemed like the best bet.

My dog's a little bit inactive in winter, so the cat was ever-ready to go. But she's a bit dim, as are the lights in our front room.

I had to up the ISO to 6400 just to be able to get the bokeh on the Christmas lights, and then I was almost wide open and needing a fast shutter speed for her reflexes, so it was a lighting nightmare. Then she wasn't the best model. I probably took 300 shots, of which maybe four were in focus.

I'm quite happy with this one, even if it's not the most 'action', so let's see how we go!
