 The timing for this contest couldn't have come better...I just recently gave up my dream of being a musician, largely due to the influence of my parents... -_-

This is an old violin, the first one I owned, a cheap knock-off Chinese instrument that I've been trying to sell for years, and no one will even give me $20 for it. I've been meaning to smash it onstage at one of my band's shows, but my parents never let me, so in the privacy of my bedroom yesterday afternoon, I took a mallet and a pair of wire cutters to it. I did this shot more for myself than anything else...at least it was just to vent my frustrations a bit.

Adjusted hues, color balance. Backdrop made from...tearing down the curtains in my bedroom and draping them from a table :3

A little soft. I might have cropped out more of the dead space in the upper left to see what impact it had.

Could use a little work on the curves to increase lightness/contrast. The object in the lower left is a bit of a distraction.
