The camera tilt was actually ‘my’ tilt as the plane I was in was banking.
To straighten would induce a crop which I think would reduce the impact of the image.
I suppose I could have held the phone straight :-) but the shot was available for just a moment. |

Congratulations. I came back to this image about 5 times :-) . I couldn't amke up my mind whether I love the tilted angle or not. In the end you were in my top 4 . |

Man this looks even better on my desktop, thought it looked amazing on the ipad, but WOW! The grungy effect is impressive!
Great finish, maybe I shouldn't have bumped you up, ha! I don't mind being pipped at the post by this fantastic photo though. |

Shift one's vision from this glorious, tingling hyper-reality and you might see an abstract of textures and luminous gashes, an urban pelt. So very much here, neither shy nor apologetic. The very angle of perspective is dizzying. Black and white is a choice that makes it happen, a meticulous etching that, without a camera, could take years to accomplish. Like an Escher without the trickery. Tour de force.
Personal favorite of the challenge. |

Just coming back to comment on a few images after voting already. The steam, clouds mist, or whatever it is, very impactful.
I̢۪m going to bump this one up.
I feel it will be on the front page.
All the best.
PS good use of the tilt, I reckon we should have a tilt shift challenge soon. |
