| The amazing thing about these head-on gulls, or terns?, is that they look like they're made of clay, baked and painted in matte colors. The could be hanging by fishing line. Say, in a museum diorama. They look great. It's a terrific shot. |

| this is brilliant. i'm not sure why, but it's fantastic. the composition, subject and lines are overwhelming in a way that resonates with me. i wish i could articulate why! |
