This multistable perception tricks your brain depending from which side is viewed. From right to left is a persons nose, where as from left to right is another shape. A known example of multistable perception is the Rubin vase which we all have seen.

Didn't get the multistable reference, but really appreciated the portrait trace as seen from left to right. Like the fingernail crescent moon recently in the night sky, but assuming human intimations. A moment from coming or going.
