A shallower DOF to blur out the texture in the background would have emphasized your subject more IMO.

| this sounds ironic...however...i feel there is too much yellow, nothing really jumps out at you, the wall and the flower seem to mesh together...well..it meets the challange alright |

| I think the flower would have "popped" more if this had been shot against a different colour backdrop. That strong yellow in the background is overpowering the orchid. |
