 Decided I wanted to test how RAW worked with white balance -- I'm impressed. Figured while I had everything set up, I'd participate in this challenge although I wasn't originally going to as I had nothing to submit.

Shot in RAW in home-made light tent.

set white balance, crop, curves, USM, neat image.

I wanted to crop out that piece of dust so bad, but can't under basic (not that I think it will affect my score which is sure to be low)...

that's about it.

The color seems a little flat, needs a little boost

the image needs more saturation: adjusting the shadow point so the densest black is all the way black will help.

Reducing this to 640 pixel width really hurts. I zoomed in on the tape, and can see that it would be easily read in the original. The sign on the side of the tapeis also a little difficult to read and seems dim at this size. I think a little more playing with light positions would have helped this picture, especially moving the one on the right forward, and the one on the left nearer. An 8.
