| Looking at this again, I am struck by the fact that the road looks like a tree trunk and the forest the trees leaves. |

| That is quite a spectacular road! I wonder where it is. I bet driving thru the wooded part of that road is beyond amazing! And what an amazing job photographing it! |

the road gives this image a feeling of an optical illusion .
which is wonderful .
the road is actually going up .. into that amazing scene .. rather than in front .
great image for the challenge .. :) |

| Interesting play of the manmade and the natural. Foe me, the road is a little too prominent - I feel a tighter crop from the bottom would still keep that contrast, but would remove some of the tension - but then, that tension might be what you were aiming for. 7 |
