 Badwater Basin of the Death Valley that is spread below, is really awe-inspiring. It is the lowest point in North America at 282ft (86m) below the sea level. Here is another (close-up) shot of a part of it called "Devil's Golf Course" taken on the same trip


It is my daughter in the upper left :). But the shot was candid.

This is amazing! What a fascinating place! (I've been out on vacation, so just catching up on things. I replied to your comment on mine. :)

I need to study landscape photography more. None of my landscapes even remotely came across as "expanse". I think it's because I miss the foreground elements, or something like that.

This makes me want to go see Death Valley (ok, I already want to go for the night skies, but now I want to go even more. :)
