 This entry was a shoehorn because back in December 2020 I had no expectations of achieving this resolution. However in September 2021 I feel I've made quite a bit of progress and I have to say that sometimes it really is all about the camera.

and 'some' say its not about the equipment ...
just seeing the difference between these two images .. the one for the new years resolution and the extended free study .. makes it so obvious that you were hindered in your ability to capture the shots you visualized by the equipment you were using ..
having said that .
some ppl have the most amazing equipment but still take photos that arent that good ..
but if you have a talent . which you obviously have .. it can be a wonderful experience to get a camera that performs to your creativity .. its like a whole new world opens up ..
thats what happened for me when i got my first macro lens ...
i'm so glad i just happened to see your thread its all about the camera and the lens ..

Thanks Roz. It's not going to be easy. My Canon mirrorless can't do tracking when set to continuous autofocus. My new Sony RX100 VII can, but the zoom is rather limiting. This photo is heavily cropped.
