Thanks guys
I have gotten a lot of milage out of this "Reddish Egret". He's on the beach most every day
when I do my morning walk. He is so photogenic and totally irresistible.
If any Nikon shooters are thinking about a mirrorless I cannot recommend them more.
This was shot with the Z50 which is a cropped sensor. I just got the Z7ii which is full frame
and although I have just began to use it, I am so glad I waited for Nikon to get it together.

so impressed with your talent capturing this bird so beautifully ..
the focus so spot on .. and getting a pic when the bird had caught the fish .. thats astonishing ..

Congratulations
This must have been very hard to catch. I had a Great Blue Heron (which I think this is) in my yard a couple of weeks ago, he was so fast no catching a shot and to get one like this! Wow
A well deserved blue.

| Great catch. Pin sharp on the eye and good composition. Not sure whether the wingtips show movement blur or were accidentally blurred in post-processing. Some tips on the right wing seem blurred, others are not. Still a slight sense of movement maintained, which I like. |
