This is us with our granddaughter when she was just four. We were having our Thanksgiving meal together. She lives with her dad and had celebrated the actual day with them, but she spends every other weekend (plus extra time here and there) with us and we do our own little celebrations then.
She's now nine. We've only seen her three times since early March, each time for brief, outdoor visits. We miss her terribly . . . but we talk at length using an Alexa device and I read to her five days a week (six times as it's twice on Mondays) and that quality time has been a wonderful addition to our lives and hers.
Our dining room is dark and I couldn't increase the shutter speed and hope for any focus at all, so the image quality was not good, but I did feel the subdued saturation and grainy look suited the image. I'm very gratified with where this one finished.

This is to those 4 people who voted 4 and less...you have no idea what good photography is or you are just spiteful hateful beings. This is beautiful, full of emotion and love and very well executed and so totally unpretentious. But those 4 whoever they are would never understand which in itself is so very sad.

this pic is like stepping back in time .. loving your edit and the pic itself ...
the way the man and woman are holding the little person's arm/hand and the expressions on their faces .. it looks like love .. this image is quite lovely .. a special moment ... :)
