 O wow - a ribbon!

I love Mary Ann's work and I'm speechless that voters thought I approached her wonderful style well enough to end up on the front page.

Actually I was struggling with the background. I put a painterly filter over the whole picture which made those artefacts around the branch and the berries. I tried to mitigate that effect by putting the original layer on top and masking out the affected part because I desperately wanted to keep the texture in the background. Obviously this didn't turn out as well as I intended. One more reason to rejoice about voter's generosity despite my poor pp.

I agreed with willem was it oversharpening, or movement, not sure, but it was a very well composed image, and congrats on your third place.

You can̢۪t go wrong with elements of nature in an image. I love your take on my bird still life images. This is very well composed with beautiful light and the textures that I am always seeking. Thank you for participating, I am honored.

Nice still life. The bird is a nice reference. Unfortunately there are post processing artefacts along the edges of the berries and branches.
