I got this idea when looking out in my back yard and seeing a single yellow flower along all the green grass. As tiny as it was it still stood out.

I like your idea but i think i would prefered witout white corners.

Great idea. Would have prefered to see the marble cover the entire image rather than frame it the way you did as then my focus would be on the flower rather than both the flower and the corners...

Very nice composition. I love the buttercup as an interpretation of yellow. The marlble tile is well lit and the good focus throughout is perfect. I would like to see this lit so that the reflection is enhanced somewhat. A little difficult as the lower left petal has nearly reached saturation. An 8.

Brighter yellow and tighter crop (remove corners) and I'd have given it a point higher. :-)

nice concept -- perhaps if the flower was larger or more striking it would be more powerful.

Great take on the challenge; there's not much yellow here, but it is clearly the subject. I like the way the corners of the slab are cut off.
