 This what was taken with natural bounced sunlight and a strobe light with snoot and honey comb. Editing was done to convert it to black and white and fix the contrast and brightness of the photo.

I don't know what standards the commentor is using. Maybe the standard of wanting to see the subject clearly, which is irrelevant to what you are doing. I think this is lovely and you should continue experimenting with light and form. Well done.

I like how the arms and the dress (?) create a circle composition around the head and draw the attention to the face.

Not sure whether the legs add a lot to the image. I would try a tighter crop, maybe just below the waist. If you want to show the full body then I suggest to reflect a bit more light on the right foot in the left of the image, just enough to show the shape.
