Look!
I give you this - my lost paradise
my unconscious heartbeat
the unsung undergrowth of my sorrow -
not to cripple you among crowds,
but as a measure that will make your smile tremble
and cause you to dream beyond this knowledge....
And look!
When you allow cold into the room,
and death beds you,
you weep only a little...
not a lot!

This is some craaaazzzy s**t!! :-)
Must've took some time, to say the least. It took me a minute to figure out the sign language. I took a couple years of sign language in high school and college (ASL) and it's interesting to me how it is different in different places. But then again so is language in general, so I guess it's not that interesting after all. But I digress...
It says "Love", right? Cool stuff. |

@Alecia - the signing hands were done with a long exposure (10 secs I think) and four burst from a flash gun. I changed letters in the dark. it was a b***h moving my arm just the right amount each time. Then i just layered and blended in PS. Original shot of the hands was taken for the communication challenge - you can see it here if you wanna.
@Thamer - This is an amalgamation of me and my lifelong friend Tony. He's the one in the chair. I took some pics of him one night to play with some lighting ideas, then when the Impressionism challenge came up I started thinking about other styles of art. My personal favourite is Surrealism, so i was loosely trying to be Dali-esque with this. I've done a few versions of them...this is by no means a finished work. I was just posting it for Tony to see.
He thinks I've lost it. I'm beginning to think I'm finally finding it :) |
