 There are 7 full blooms. I did not count the unopened buds. If you feel you must, seek help! LOL! Shot in studio lighting, two 100 watt bulbs in clamp lamps each behind a translucent lite disc. Warm circular polarizer and UV filters on camera in macro mode, tripod mounted.
Post: Layer adjustments for levels, brightness & contrat, hue/saturation. USM. Crop. Resize. USM.

This is an amazingly beautiful picture. The lighting is superb. The subjects are well balanced and nicely arranged. All 7 of them!! I would love to see this framed.

Very good composition and the cropping is just right. Far from being the typical flower shot. It has a strong resemblance to a expressionistic painting. It's subtle and smooth / explosive and aggressive at the same time.

Beautiful, the lighting is perfect and the background adds to the image instead of distracting the viewer. The small amount of the vase at the bottom is very minor and I don't think hurts you any...this could be a top ribbon.

I can just imagine people making sure there are definitely seven flowers here. I started to, but decided it didn't really matter to me. The picture is sharp and the colors vibrant. I can also smell it. Good work.,(7)

i really like it, but something about the flowers looks too dark to me. i can see the highlights are really bright, but somehow the flowers seem muted. maybe it's the black bg, maybe it's my eyes at 1:43am.
