 The town of Rhyolite Nevada was a gold boom town with a very short history. It began in 1905 when gold was discovered in the hills, It sprung up to a modern town with electricity and indoor plumbing within 3 years. By 1910, the gold was becoming scarcer and by 1920, there were only 14 people remaining.

My photo is of the remains of the Cook Bank building. You can see it toward the center of this photo showing the town in it's heyday.
