 yes Rich .. Mochi was my inspiration for this photo .. and yes .. my title was inspired by his name ..

was really difficult trying to recreate this beautiful photo as the dogs are so different .. and I found it so hard trying to copy another person's style .. gave it my best shot though .. ;)

What an appealing portrailt of a sweet dog! What so much appeals to me here are the pose, the pale fabric upon which he or she lies and the cropping. They're all unusual enough to invite us in, and now our attention is riveted by her/his face, eyes, the trusting approach of the pose. It has a high key feel even though there's plenty of dark in the fur. It's a very interestilng presentation, and all in all you're fortunate to have such a beautiful/handsome companion. And I wonder if your title is a play on Mochi, my dog's name. Also a moocher.

this is a simple enough photo but I do like the composition. good negative space and the ears going out of frame make for a more dynamic composition. the dog is certainly helping out with its soulful look and coy paws.
