A lovely cascade of mauve-ish shadows, a temporay signature of the sun. I love those decorative curlicues on handrails. The world ia a multi-faceted sun dial, and here's the time and news of the day, if only we can decipher it. The horizontal lines of the steps and doorway set up a staff for these besotted notes. The delicate washes of color are also very appealing. I think I'd appreciate the image more without the plant, which tends to draw the eye away from an otherwise tender emptiness. But that's just a subjective take, and can't detract from an image that speaks to me.

each step is its own canvas of shadows. each step is to the rhythm. (a tango)
the plant is merely the subject of the photo, overwhelmed by layers of associations |
