Low tech compared to modern sticky envelopes, but not really invoking a sense of technology. Neither the wax nor an envelope seems to lead me to thinking of technology. I do really like the DOF here and the leading of the stamp to point at the wax. Both are very crisp and the shadows are just enough to not leave the objects floating in negative space. Would make a great wall hanging, but would not categorize as low technology. |

Nice idea for low tech. Overall, this is well done, but to me seems done in a rather "sterile" studio manner; it might have been nice to do this on a desk, with candlelight, etc. to add atmosphere. |

Wonderful choice of subjects. Focus on wax is superb. Nice reflections bring a sharp white point into the photo which helps. Overall composition good. I suspect you chose DOF intentionally but IMO it would be a little better if the handle was also in sharp focus. Just personal preference. Among my top picks. |

I think I would have liked to see the actual seal more vertical such that I can actually appreciate the design. Not sure how you do it however. Let's see if more comments come in with this idea... |
