 So thankful this did well, though at the moment I'm slightly disappointed as when I went to bed last night it had 2 fewer votes and a score that would have blued. But it happens to all of us. I'll gladly tuck this in next to my growing list of 7+ images that didn't Blue (is there an icon for 7+ and didn't ribbon, because 5 of us need one!! LOL).

Outside of a couple weeks in FL I didn't shoot a lot in 2019, but those weeks were fruitful. Most fruitful of all were the 5 minutes I spent shooting this Red Shouldered Hawk as my wife chatted with her brother near the St. John's River. It not only produced this image but also one taken just a single second later that earned my only Free Study Blue in 6 years of trying...

Congrats on HM Jake! Very hard capture to get and you managed to keep everything just right.
I also experienced the trolls right before roll over.
