 It took 3 days for the water to freeze around the shoes! My wife was a good sport and posed for me with her wedding dress (we were married in 1973!). It was 30 degrees out so I didn't have much time to shoot this picture before her feet started to turn blue. That's why the final image is in B&W! Those are not my feet in the blocks of ice. I put 2X4's in the shoes to support the pants. I'm the one in the other pair of shoes. 10 second delay on the camera shutter. Camera set on a tripod.

Thanks for the great comments and the votes for the ribbon. Actually, this could have been me on my wedding day. I was so nervous I smoked 4 cigarettes in a row just before the ceremony. Never smoked before that and never smoked since!

Ha! I was 22 YO at the time (before dental school)! I think I had a drink to kill the taste which was also out of character as I rarely drink alcohol!

I thought this could’ve only been you, funny two wedding photos came first and second. Congratulations on still being married, you deserve a ribbon for that as well. I’m coming up to 30 next year :-)

I thought this was a good idea, I just didn’t like the mat, too complex for me. Maybe make it plain next time, not that there will probably be next time. But you never know with you :)
