 calculations to b/w on multiply the green channel. still not dark enough so I multiplied it with itself again. I took this with exposure bracketing. there was a darker exposure but this has a better glow, even though detail is lost in the bright spot. Trust me, there is no interesting detail in the bright spot. Let it go.
