[Sep. 22nd, 2019 07:23:40 PM]

I'm glad that Don noticed the clock -- It's what gives me the chills when I walk by. I'm sorry I couldn't do justice to it. But I couldn't get the right angle.

This is the house of our backyard neighbors.

I was talking on the phone to a friend when she asked: "Do you smell smoke?"

No.

But the I heard the sirens.

Something made me look out my back window and I saw flames through the trees.

"The house behind us is on fire!!"

I felt strange wanting to go in and get my camera. It seemed tacky, so I didn't. But I did have to take some photos with my phone.

The determined it was an electrical fire. No one was home at the time, but they did pull in just a few minutes after the fire dept got there.

Another neighbor noticed it and kicked in the door and was able to save the two dogs.

Thanks for the comment!

I disagree with you. I think you found the right angle.

I gave you an eight, you are one of the few that really met this challenge. How sad for your neighbour. CanĂ¢€™t get over how many fires start with an electrical fault. I wonder if they had a safety cut out switch?

just looking at this photo gives me anxiety ..
its something i worry about .. driving home and imagining that my house has burned down .. i have to consciously put that thought out of my mind .
like careful what you 'wish' for ..
this was a home .. a sanctuary ... i cant imagine what the people who lived there were feeling .. utterly devastating .. hope they were ok .. :)
