Unwittingly or knowingly capturing two low tech items. Antenna reception and wood heat. The smoke does well to balance the antenna while the inclusion of the top corner of the roof gives a solid base to the image. The smoke appears haloed by a lens flare or post process effect. A little on the dark side in the brick and somewhat oversharpened or exposed on the antenna,. A simple, easy to translate, low tech presentation.

I like the way the photo is composed. Without the smoke, the photo would be really dull. With it it's OK.

Great simplicity and the smoke completes the shot. Good luck!

Hey there. I think this is an interesting submission. However, I question whether it meets the challenge theme.

Nice work. The overall photograph does not override the subject. The subject has highlights and shadows drawing my eye to it. I think the B&W effect worked well with this photograph. I like the composition and lighting. Focus seems to be good. Good Job!

isn't that electronic?

Oh, I get it, it's an old-style "non-dish" antenna and therefore low-tech. Shown in B&W to illustrate "old-fashioned" I beileve. Nice idea.

Hmmm... it's still electronic. Most of us tried very hard to find something non-electronic for this challenge - it's not easy. Subtracting one point.

I think this is a little to plain, Maybe in color with a dark blue sky and darken up the cloud so it looks like it has deeper shadows
