Wow. i'm totally embarrassed! I did not know there was a difference in the images between RAW files and JPG right from the card. I frankly never use RAW files from my 5D mark IV but used my 6D to take this shot which is set for RAW. When I downloaded the image from the camera I must have downloaded the RAW image instead of the JPG image not realizing they were different visually. In fact, I did not see the difference until I saw the DQ and pulled them up on my computer. Here they are:
RAW Image:
JPG Image:
Now I see the difference:(
I had sent the JPG image for verification prior to the end of the challenge for verification because I went away. Again, I did not know there was a difference between the JPEG and RAW images straight from the card. Then I got a 2nd request for verification after the challenge was over. I thought there had been a problem with the first time I did it so this time I sent the RAW image from the card.
Sorry for my stupidity. I never would have known this if it wasn't a minimal editing challenge. Learned something new!

So sorry about this. Like Lydia, I hate a DQ. And I do love this photo. |

CONGRATS LARRY .!!!!.
the best of the bunch .. !! ..
a stunning photo where the white balance and minimal editing work in your favour..
and yes indeed .. nature is truly a wonderful thing ..
the owner of the field may like to see this beautiful picture .. maybe hang it on his wall .. it may have taken on a life of its own .. but they're still his children .. ;)
