 Central Park continues to amaze me first by its presence. Its footprint is bigger by the nation of Monaco who is actually 3/5 of the size of Central Park.
Everything about it astonishing. We are staunch supporters of it and know some of the trees by name and age. 400 were toppled in August 2009 in a most unexpected brief and violent thunderstorm. Now you cannot see any of the devastation.

i love this pic .. especially the bird .. !! .. the trees as almost silhouettes .. and the way they are dancing in the sky .. brilliant ..
and i had no idea that central park was so huge .. seeing your photo makes me want to go there and take photos .. !! ..

I went on a boat trip around Manhattan and was told by the tour guide how much money the Central Park land is worth in terms of real estate. I was disgusted by that, to me Central Park is priceless.

Kind of a misty haze hanging over the vista, almost looks like a grey-tone except for the biker in red. Nice view.
