ok, i didnt want to put the idea in the title cos i wanted to make people think about it rather than giving it away. its based on the game Paper Scissors Stone (rock paper scissors for the americans). it was a last minute pic, and i submitted it 2 minutes before the deadline, so i didnt have too much time for composition, angles, lighting etc. the theme was authority and whether this showed the lack of authority or not, it still (to me) shows authority of some kind. they each have authority over the other in the sense that they can each win. hope this clears things up a bit. thanks for the comments!

I didn't get it at first. For some reason I saw the rock as a burn mark on the paper. I like the clever relationship to the challenge. I guess some shadow would help give depth to the rock and give the whole thing more impact. |

No great picture but...1-You entered, 2-It's thought provoking and 3- it is to me the most positive idea presented. That, authority is not only restrictive, but permissive as well. That, there are green lights as well as red. |

There can be only one minute to stare and try to figure this out. ...times up. I missed it. :-( The blotch is too dark to make out. |

Ok it took me a minute to get this one...guess I'm more the rock than the sharp scissors. Good job on creativity, lighting and overall setup. |

nice take on the concept of 'authority'. lack of law enforcement in the photo is refreshing :) |

What inthe heck is this? Doesn't feel like authority to me. Guess I don't get it. Sorry. |

The angle isn't the best, and I have no idea what the black thing on the right is. |

Doesn't this show the lack of authority? Every one has an equal chance of 'winning' each time, right? |

I have never noticed the coincidence of this game to the branches of the United States government. Executive, Legislative, Judicial. Which one is which, do you think? Nice job. |

Ok, I get "Rock, Scissors, Paper", but I don't really see how it conveys "Authority". |

Fantastic take on authority, probably the best of all, slightly lacking in composition however. Still, high mark :) |

LOL. looks like it's "rock" here. Cute, but the tonality seems very grey. I'm assuming the paper was white, in which case the camera's metering probably wouldn't read the scene right. If the whites were white, much better, |

The exposure and focus is adequate, but the framing is unimaginative and the link to the challenge theme is not readily discernable.

It took me a second to get it. I think the rock looks too much like a sponge so it takes a second to get it. |
