I neglected to vote. Hard to figure out exactly how I would have marked. I did not look at the others. Never mind.
Probably 8. I liked it more on instagram. Here I get a bit lost visually. Too much great information for just two eyes. And I really can't crop it. This awful feeling that something is really good but....
As a side note, I find funny if not too dangerous your risky way to take this shot but in a work on art nobody cares if it was done in 3 years or 3 hours. No fairness!!!!! |

F16 was a good choice. I love that you revealed all the details by closing down the aperture. We were even treated to a star burst! Thanks to your posthumous award I stumbled on your photograph. Great work! |

Great job, Roz. Always would be nice to know why people vote less than 5 on images like this. I think it's great. Perspective gives the feeling of standing against the wall, maybe hiding... from the cops... uh oh, they released the K9 unit!
10th is pretty good and a PH to boot! :) |

This is quite spectacular, in fact it couldnt have been better, if Id have voted Im sure this would have been my top pick. |

I gave this an 8, Roz, my highest mark. The light imbues every part of the image with sparkling, enthusiastic life. I love how the tree and the side of the building play together -- it's as if the tree is trying to draw the building into dancing. It's a joyful interplay. I like the grassy expanse which spreads throughout. It's a lovely photograph.
My theory about why it hasn't received a higher result is that some people felt that it didn't have sufficient "building." Their literal threshold wasn't met. My personal opinion is that such an approach is narrow-minded and tosses away many fine images that merely include the challenge subject in a larger whole. In other words, artistry is given short shrift. So likewise regard these marks with a shrug of the shoulder and a soupcon (with that squiggle under the c) of pity. |
