Hello there :) I am glad you liked the picture and I am glad that those who didn't like it, said what's wrong about it.
Greslizzz this is exactly what I was going for. My teacher caught in the act of creating. His hand is dynamic in opposition to mathematics which is static and calm to me :) It took me 3/4 of the lecture to achieve this motion blur:) I had great fun watching your comments that went:
-I like the motion blur
-I don't like the motion blur
-I like the motion blur
-I don't like the motion blur
:)
Some people commented that they see no rules here... so now my explenation :)
Mathematics are abundanat in rules, regulations, restrictions, statements and different laws. So I thought it was a primary expamle of rules. Afterall everybody obeys them - not even knowing about this! Hell, our world we know today requires maths.
Graphicfunk I am so flattered hearing such words :)
Even more flattered hearing such words from a man like you BIG THANKS.
Thank you all for voting. I received no ones ! :) |

This looks a bit beyond basic. Good photo. |

Shame about the motion blur on the hand. |

It's all Greek to me, but even I can see a good photograph when I see one. I like that you made it black and white, and I love that there's movement in his hand. Good job and good luck. |

I don't know exactly what it is, but I really like this photo. Nice job. I think the b&w helps too. |

I love this shot. The title needs puncuation or something but hat is minor. |

Very nice, the B&W is perfect for this shot. And yes the natural law of mathamatics it the number one authority! Bumping to a 9. |

This works well as a B&W photo--nice tones, and good composition. However, I really don't feel a connection to "Authority". I think I know where you are headed--that Math is the "root" of all the sciences, but it's a pretty big stretch for me. 5. |

this would have been a strong entry in the bw challenge, not so sure about this one. yes, the rules of math are indisputable, but they are unknown by most and easily ignored. a major component of authority is the ability to command respect, and for the purposes of this challenge, you would need to address the ability to enforce the laws, and/or the consequences of not following (for example, a person stretched out on the ground with a large rock next to him: the enforcement of the law of gravity). all the same, i'll score this a 6 and wish you good luck! |

Strong entry. I like the motion blur. Everything is in focus. Framed well. |

Crisp, and good conversion to b/w. The crispness is spoiled just the tiniest, by the motionblur of the writing hand. |
