Re the title - I was in a hurry, I had a title but obviously didn't click "update" :-(. My bad.
Re the halo - I have no idea where it comes from, personally I also hate it :-))).
I didn't sharpen at all, but I used NIK (I think)to add a little drama to the whole thing. The clouds were very flat in the original. |

wow, I thought this would ribbon. I guess DPC really hates halos. Except when they don't. |

I really like this one. Title seems a missed opportunity. I'd suggest "Jacob's ladder." |

Fairly strong composition idea, yet the white halos along the ladder edges, often caused by sharpening technique, reduc the impact. Although I look at a title only after viewing an image, I do find that a thoughtful title can enhance the artistic impression much more than allowing the default file name to display (even "Untitled" can often be stronger than a file name). |
