 He is a little Cockatiel with one forceful will. He has us all doing exactly what he wants. Has the cat and dog watching wearily out the corners of their eyes because he might demand they do his bidding. He screams half the day then pecks at you the rest, buzzes your head when you walk too close; there is no let up from sunrise to sunset. He walks like a King, pushes things out of his way, pecks and swears at the top of his lungs till your ears ring. He has no idea what a cage looks like.
He is THE BOSS!

Hmmm, I think he may be a little too straight on... though this angle does make him/her look more authoritative.

Like the contrast with the black background, though I get the feeling many will think you are stretching the challenge here. 7.

I'm not sure about the relationship to the challange, but I like this photo. The background seems to amplify the details of the face.

...of what, his caged domain?

This picture has strong technical and artistic merits. The focus, tonal range, clarity, sharpness, and detail are excellent. The angle, crop, and subject's expression is very interesting.

Unfortunately, I cannot see a connection with the challenge theme. Sorry.

This is a great picture but i guess it's not really meant for this challenge, it might have some authority to you in some way but it thosen't represent authority to me. Sorry. But it's a great photo.

nice bird shot. love the detail, coloring, and use of negative space. great capture of expression, and exceptionally sharp focus and dof. however, except for being a demanding pet, i don't really consider this an authority shot...

I like the neutral bg, the sharpness, good lighting and composition. My only nit is that the eyes seem empty, because the touch the bg a bit and are exactly the same color.

Startling in the starkness and then brilliant color. I want something more, maybe the subject's head turned a bit, or less negative space, maybe more contrast in the colors that are there.
