This shot was a bracketed 3 photo image processed in Photomatix Pro6.

The lake is located in Kensington Metro Park outside of Detroit. It is a great place for walking and the island in the photo has large Great Blue Heron nests which they will be returning to this month.

loving the drama .. and the stunning blue shadows on the snow .. the sun's rays just lift this into the realms of absolutely GORGEOUS .. the sky is wonderful .. very very appealing image .. :)

Pretty light. Can't decide if I'd like this better without the blue tint to the snow. It feels cold, but on my screen is much bluer than I've ever seen in real life.
