 My first effort at doing a composite image like this. The main scene is Vasquez rocks in California, location of many westerns and S/F flicks. The metal towers are a sculpture in D/FW international airport's temrminal D. When I saw it, I thought it might be cool to place it on top of some mountains. The Russian looking tower is from Tampa, Florida. I think it is part of a university building. The bird came from another shot at Vasquez rocks.

The most difficulty I had with this was getting the base of the metal tower to merge with the rocks underneath in a reasonable manner. Took a fair amount of cloning some smaller rocks and shrubs around the base to get a decent look.

I didn't think I was skilled enough to try pulling this off in color.

This could be a fantasy book cover or film still. I wonder how this would look when the buildings styles would be more matching each other. They are so totally different now. Also, the central building seems to be too small or too close; size and distance seem not to match...

The longer I look at it, the more I think I would have liked it even more without the central building.
