 Taken in my basement. Used fishing line to pull the balloon up from the ceiling against a black card. Lighting was a 100 halogen lamp pointed at the ceiling. Cropped, leves adjustment, and sharpening in PSE2. Cleaned up in Neat Image.

A clever idea and good suggestion of movement. I'm sure this took many tries, but I kind of wish the blurry balloon ghost image were more even. Have you also tried only one light source? It may be interesting to experiment with.

A technically well done image. Just the perfect mix of blur and sharpness. You must have taken zillions of shots just to get the one you are happt with. The vertical format and elegant simple frame are excellent choices to accent your theme. Some folks may pick on you because of that eerie green shade. Doesn't bother me though. I love the edge highlights on the top balloon. Good solid image.

Interesting idea but the halo effect you got really detracts...is that from oversharpening in photo shop? Nicely cropped and framed.
